Last night I’ve arrived State College for a work related training with Penn State. This morning with my colleague Ann, I walked around the campus and showed her some major landmarks of Penn State. Since nittany lion is one of the iconic features of Penn State, I took Ann to the lion shrine.
It was early morning with a little fog. The sun just started to shine through the fog and things were warming up including the clammy lion. The lion shrine is surrounded by woods with one side accessible to visitors.
I was happy and thrilled to be on campus but never realized that my excitement will soon turn into a nightmare.

I asked Ann to take some pictures of me with the lion, and I offered to take some of hers. Everything looked calm and normal as expected.
I saw Ann sitting nearby doing some business on her phone. I sat on a stone near the lion. People were walking around and cars were passing by on the street next to the lion shrine just as they normally do.
As I was sitting idly there, I made a move that I’ll soon regret. I took my phone out and posed to take a selfie with the lion in the background.

As I was going for the selfie, I saw something I didn’t expect. I noticed on the phone’s camera that the lion’s eyes popped open and I couldn’t believe it. I freaked out.

And I freaked out more in confusion and my eyes started to bulging out bigger. I looked at my left and saw no sign of Ann but only her purse. I noticed Ann a few yards from me running away fast. I should’ve been running too but I couldn’t.
The surroundings got quieter and I got frightened more. My body froze and everything else froze with it. The only things moved were the lion behind me and my finger that kept taking photos.
I started worried about my life and soon completely lost hope of seeing my wife again.

I quickly took more selfies expecting that people will at least know how I ended. I spent three years on this campus and met nittany lion a number of times but never ever thought that I’d meet him this way.
Suddenly I remembered something my colleague Jon told me. He said- in the age of Game of Thrones, dead things come alive and hunt the livings.
The next seconds I fell unconscious and now I don’t remember anything else.
A few hours later, I woke up and found myself on a bed in State College Hospital emergency room.
Now I’m not in a position to write any more with just two or three fingers that the lion chose to left with me.
Ooh, what a day!!!!
