It felt so natural to see and feel the snow flakes for the first time in this winter. With the arrival of fresh snow today, winter is officially here. Although it already snowed many places in America this year but today for the first time it brought the white gold in central Pennsylvania.

It slowly started around 10 in the morning as forecasted and heavy pouring began sometime before noon. I couldn’t keep working but to go out and let the snow fall on me. It felt actually nice. North American winter isn’t complete without a snow storm or two and we have one now.

Office closed three hours early today but as it turned out it didn’t save us from the snow-jam, traffic jam caused by excessive amounts of snow on the road. I’ve never seen that many cars on the road stranded in and around Harrisburg before. Everyone basically crawled and spinned with their car on the road. It took more than two hours to reach home three miles away from office which normally takes me 25 minutes. It’s a mess. As I write, roads and surroundings as far as I can see are blanketed with snow and it looks great. God bless the guys who are cleaning it.

It looks like we have more snow than originally called for and tonight we’re expecting freezing rain.

While this’s the first of many snow storms to have, it already caused enough pain for everyone and joy for some. I enjoyed both while I wait for the next one.
